First Communion

First Holy Eucharist

Starting in grade 2, children who have already been baptized* prepare for First Eucharist (First Communion) and First Reconciliation (Confession) together. This catechesis takes place in partnership between the home, parish, and school if the child attends a Catholic elementary school. Preparation begins in the fall, with Reconciliation celebrated in November/December, and First Eucharist in the spring.

Please click here to see our 2026/2027 welcome letter and schedule. Preparation sessions take place on Tuesday evenings at the Church. Our Information Session for parents/caregivers and children is on Thursday, October 8, 2026 from 6-7 pm. Registration is online at tinyurl.com/TeresaFHC27 until Friday October 23, 2026.

This year’s celebration of First Reconciliation will be Tuesday, December 1, 2026. First Holy Eucharist will be on Sunday, April 18, 2027. If you have questions or concerns, please contact Iris or Mary, our Pastoral Associates, at the Parish Office

*Children in grade 2 who have not yet been baptized will be prepared for and celebrate Baptism before First Reconciliation. If this is applicable to your child(ren), make sure to indicate this in your registration. Children in grade 3 or above must complete full initiation into the Catholic Church.
